Indiana Dunes - Chesterton Indiana - New Buffalo Michigan - Road Trip Visit July 4 2014

We love Indiana. And there's loads of fun free activities to do with the kids. We didn't pack a picnic lunch, and instead are at Redamaks, but the day balanced out nicely with the rest of the free stuff to do.

We hit the beach earlier this year, while it was warm. Who knew those would've been the warmest days this summer of 2014. It's been cool, 60's am 70's with a few days warmer then that.

My Mom bought baby girl an adorable sailor outfit. It's Polyester and not Comfortable, but so cute. I took it with us to the beach to convince her into it for a few pictures. I'm glad I did.

It's mostly baby girls videos and here slime making, she spends time with friends, goes on road trips, lots of coloring activities and make good choices while having fun. During the covid stay at home orders - she had many many many facetime pandemic playdates - we made time work for us and not be bored.

Here we are at the Beverly Shores public beach, we enter off of route 12 east oF the south shore train station.

We claimed dunes, ate our picnic and explored a few bugs today.

Then we chilled at grandmas house. Here her chickadee baby birds from the nést on the porch are learning to fly!! That was fun to share with the kids.

Then We drive to New Buffalo, Michigan, about a 40 minute ride to Redamaks for burgers. It's a great rating restaurant experience fun for the kids. We took the strip and parked near the beach for a walk, (where we collected at least 12 seagull feathers for our nature box) before going to oinkers for ice cream. There a sister store to Shermers ice cream in south haven MIchigan. All little beach town unique to the area experienced for the kids.
