Taking last year's budget and adding an inflation adjustment will no longer cut it given today's economy.

The Stand-Up October 1, 2024 Edited by Miguel Neves View in browser Hi there,   One hot topic seems to be on everyone's mind: Rising costs.   According to the 2025 Global Business Travel Forecast from CWT and the GBTA, event planners should brace for rising costs next year.   Higher prices for food, venues, and labor are expected to increase per-attendee expenses, adding pressure to budgets.   Though costs dipped slightly in 2023, the forecast indicates that hybrid events and varying regional price trends will complicate planning.   With airfare and hotel rates also set to rise, the report suggests that planners may need to rethink their budgeting strategies.   Read the full story on Skift Meetings.
