Stress is a hot topic. Some would even say it's a badge of honor for planners.

Various lists have ranked event planning as one of the most stressful jobs in the world. However, experts say these rankings are often based on questionable criteria and are more about generating clicks than providing accurate information.

Experts also say that discussing work-related stress can actually make it worse for everyone involved. Focusing on stress might unintentionally glorify it, giving the impression that being stressed means we're more important or capable. This is called "stress bragging."

To make matters worse, we may also be making our jobs more stressful by constantly talking about how stressful they are.

Still, highlighting stress does have a positive side: an increased focus on mental health and well-being.
